MAMMOTH SOLAR SEEKS APPROVAL FOR 9,037 ACRE INDUSTRIAL SOLAR PLANT

Starke Solar, LLC (dba Mammoth Solar) recently submitted their 3rd application to the Pulaski County Building Inspector.

The Public Hearing is scheduled for April 18, 2022 at 6 pm (This hearing has been canceled) at the Pulaski County Highway Garage, Winamac, Indiana. Please attend this very important Public Hearing to voice your concerns for Pulaski County. 

Mammoth Solar is seeking a Special Exception to install an industrial solar plant covering 9,037 acres of farmland in Pulaski County, Indiana.   

If this project is allowed, over 14 square miles of farmland, in Pulaski County alone, would be lost to industrial solar plants.

Pulaski County Commissioners are continuing to force solar development as a Permitted Use on all ag-zoned ground, despite the APC’s recommendation to keep the Special Exception.

APC will be meeting in May for further discussion.  Meeting date to be determined.
